Building exceptional art collections for modern and contemporary art collectors, bespoke firm Salon NLB specializes in facilitating the acquisition of contemporary art, helping to make their client’s vision a reality. It was during her time as the Founder and Director of Aon’s Global Fine Art Practice, at the urging of prominent collectors with whom she worked, that Nikki L. Brown launched her namesake, New York-based advisory, in 2013.
Prior to launching, Brown spent a decade working with top collectors throughout the US and EU, to manage the risks associated with their art collections. Through this experience, Brown garnered a great amount of knowledge about art collecting and art investment. By combining her expertise in both the risk management and fine art sectors, Brown boasts an extensive network of resources with which to collaborate with collectors.
In 2021, with increased demand from interior designers and those new to collecting, Brown launched off-shoot brand Salon NLB to showcase artworks by emerging and mid-career artists.
After more than a decade of collaborating and nurturing artists’ careers, Brown was perfectly poised to create an online gallery. Now, interior designers on the StyleRow platform can enjoy the ease of sourcing art curated by Brown. The exclusive, online gallery represents over 15 artists, across multiple disciplines, providing access to a wide range of original artworks with the ability to commission and customize. “Salon NLB is a one-stop shop for interior designers. We are dedicated to helping interior designers enhance the extraordinary spaces they create. Our goal is to build enduring relationships by tailoring our services to individual tastes, budget and objectives with particular attention to quality and confidentiality,” explains Brown.
Nikki L. Brown has curated the collections of high-profile private collectors, luxury hotels and corporations including Blackberry Mountain and Baker Donelson Headquarters in Nashville, TN. Now, Interior Designers can access Brown’s 20+ years of experience via Salon NLB where she has meticulously curated a diverse group of artists from around the world, each bringing a unique style and aesthetic. “While each artist has a different technique and process, they all create one-of-a-kind artwork. As an advisory firm, our goal is to provide a diverse range of styles and mediums so that we can work with each interior designer’s unique aesthetic for each project. Salon NLB hosts a range of artists’ styles including Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism and Realism,” explains Brown, who encourages interior designers to make special requests for art.
